Reversing Camera blue Screen

I hope someone can help?
I have a 2016 Rollerteam 707 with a reversing camera, one view, straight down view II, but two available on the screen I & II.
In the past I would start the van and nothing would show unless I put in reverse and II would show. Now it shows a Blue screen and says no Video input I, or similar as I can’t quite remember this late at night lol.
I then have to turn it off or press for the II.
Any ideas anyone?
 
Reverse connection may be at fault,mine is just on a switch in cab so i can watch behind when driving,the cam may also be at fault.

I have a Roller team pegaso 590 and it comes with a five year habitation warranty. Does yours not have the same.

The Hab warranty is something totally different. After the first year, electrical items are not covered.

Just check all your connections as that seems the most likely and check your settings on the Monitor. Usually, you get some warning that a camera is about to fail, so I don't think it is that.

Although the reversing camera may not be covered after two years ?the hab warranty is much more extensive than what you state. I checked this out before buying the Motorhome. All the major major electrical items are covered fully for five years.

Heres an extract

Roller Team Conversion Warranty – provided by Trigano SPA
    • Scope of warranty
    • Subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions below, Roller Team will at its own cost, through its dealer network:
    • • repair or replace defective motorhome parts or fittings for 5 years from the date of registration (excluding Fiat base vehicle), and Adjustments (doors, locks, handles etc.) for first 9 months from date of registration.
    • • repair or replace GRP (Glass reinforced Plastic) defects with the motorhome external body shell for 1 year from the date of registration.
    • • The Roller Team Conversion warranty will cover the costs of the basic repair work (namely, labour and materials) to fix the defect covered by this warranty, (subject to the conditions and exclusions, including customer contributions, listed below).
      1. (a) During the first 24 months, the Roller Team Conversion Warranty will cover any defects (in the categories referred to above) other than those referred to in the Exclusions section (Exclusions - Roller Team Conversion Warranty) below.
      2. (b) In years 3, 4 and 5, the Roller Team Conversion Warranty will only cover any defect with the following components:
        • Electrical System: PSU, battery charger, Digital control panels and interior lighting units (excluding bulbs and led).
        • Water system: water heater, fresh water tank, water pump, taps (shower head and hoses excluded).
        • Cooker: the cooker unit including grill, oven, burners, igniter and flame failure device.
        • Refrigerator: gas igniter, flame failure device, gas control valve, 12V and 230V heater elements, gas thermostat, 230V thermostat and 230V temperature control switch.
        • Cassette toilet: the cassette toilet (excluding seals, and glands).
        • Heating system: thermostat, motor, switches, control unit, gas heater, flame failure device and igniter (excluding ducting and fittings).
        • Windows: the functionality of the opening and closing system (stays, handles and catches) and cracking of the acrylic. Excludes seals, fading and distortion.
 
Thanks for that, I will ask but as it’s not specifically mentioned I doubt it.
 
It works when I put into reverse. It seems it just wants to start up on 1 which would be a full rear view, as it’s not a dual camera it’s blue. However before it never came on when I started the van unless I put it in reverse. Very odd.

Like I said earlier, check the monitor settings. I have a monitor with I and II and they can be altered. Otherwise, find where the monitor wiring runs behind the dashboard and just unplug the one you don't need.
 
Sometimes monitors crash and you need to remove supply for 10-20 seconds then reapply. But I tend to agree with others it’s probably a cabling or camera issue.
But I have installed cctv and have seen monitors coming back to normal after disturbing supply. Worth a shot.

Should be dead when not in reverse.

I also have a roller team trev. It’s on standby when engine is turned off. When I start up it comes on. I can either leave it on or put it back to standby, then it only comes back on in reverse.

I have had a good pull apart today. Obviously the wiring has not changed and seems to be correct. It’s wired permanently and has a Reverse switch feed. If I connect V2 camera output to the V1 monitor input when I start the van I see the Cameras image. What I think has happened is that when the ignition is turned on the monitor has forgotten that I had used the switch on it to turn it off, it comes to life and tries to show V1. I can remove the permanent supply and then it will come on only when reverse is selected but I like the opportunity to turn it on when driving to check on the bikes etc. Fisherman do you see a blue screen when you put the ignition on or does it stay off if turned off?
 
Switch it off and it should then come on when reverse is selected. Sounds like someone has pressed one of the buttons on the head unit. These units tend to be programmable you just need the book that came with it.
 
Hi all. It does come on and I can switch it off, it’s just that it’s annoying when it didn’t use to do that. I have asked reversingcamerasuk for advice, they have similar monitors for £24. Thanks for 5he comments.
