Replacing bathroom taps on Swift Kon Tiki '91

Hello All,

Contact breaker broke on micro switch so replacing bathroom taps. How on earth do you get at the underside of the sink to swap them over?

Contact breaker broke on micro switch so replacing bathroom taps. How on earth do you get at the underside of the sink to swap them over?

If its the same as mine and its the vanity unit you have undo the screws either side of it and peel away the silcone from the sides and prise it forward thats how i did mine. Its a swift kontiki 92 plate so i presume its the same.. Hope this helps.

I recently had a price for a new tap from Hymer £260!! , took it to Dave Newell at Telford £20 repair and he didn't take the sink out, I know its not your area but maybe there's a way to remove the tap without the basin.

Hi sherpa.

Just been reading about this problem on another website, Dont take out any screws as i did. The sink lifts out and you can access the taps through the hole, Just went out and had a look at mine, It came out easy, and you can see the taps, Hope this helps, it would have saved me a lot of time if i'd known. Hope its ok.

Hi I've also got a Kontiki its a 95.I agree with bigboak you just need to lift the sink out to get to the taps. Of course you need to lift it just enough to remove the waste pipe first then list it out of the way. Mine was 'well stuck in' with sealant.
