I have a relatively cheap Votronic add on that enables trickle charge of the vehicle battery when it's below 13.2V. it doesn't need any pv input just puts a slight drain on the leisure batt. Which soon gets refreshed when solar kicks in.
Yeah was looking at them and the battery master one but as I intend to get a lithium in the future they are unsuitable. What I have done in the past mainly winter is a lead with a cigarette lighter plug on one end and a w4 clipsal plug on the other all fused. plug one end in the cig lighter socket base van and the clipsal in the back does the job.
