Renault master noise

Happy New year to you all

Just setting off on a trip and we have a beeping noise coming from the dash no warning light. It seems to stop when we break then continues when we drive … it’s just been through its MOT so not sure what it could be any ideas please ?

Look at brake fluid levels in the master cyl, could be a low-level warning buzzer, some brake pads also have a warning buzzer or light.

Thanks Trev at the MOT the guy said back brakes would need to be done but it’s not critical yet it was just and advisory … will check the fluids .. 3 hour drive with that beeping is going to drive me nuts

Just checked brake fluid fill up to the brim - double checked all door pins … completely baffled

UPDATE - stupid brains disconnected our battery during that cold spell and connected it all back up in the dark this morning. We stopped at the services just to go over everything and he disconnected the battery again to reconnect thankfully noise has stopped

I have one which shouts, wallet content low, don't seem to go off much these days.

If it is that Jaq, you need to get it sorted - it will drive you to the brink of insanity!

There is a bypass which you can easily find on Youtube but we usually get round it by a quick scrub of the sensors with a piece of Emery cloth and a good slam of the door.

It happens on ours when we brake and then accelerate, thus pulling the sensors apart or on right hand bends. When you take a right turn the left hand side of the van is marginally stretched and the contacts pull apart. It's a well known problem with the Renault Masters.

So it seems Trev,
Tomorrow we are returning the tree and baubles to the cupboard, then watch the fireworks on the mountain at 7pm before getting the coach to the Airport to return to UK early Sunday morning.
Sad news of a young man in the family ending his desire to see the New Year, so an early closure to the Festive Season for our Irish family.
