Removing stuck TV bracket

We've just bought a 2014 Autocruise Rhythm. It has a TV installed on an articulated bracket. We have no interest in TV in the 'van (we camp to get away from the damned thing), but I can't get the bracket apart.

It has a fixed part and a removable part on a morse taper of some sort. There appears to be a fixation screw below the boss but no way of unscrewing it. It's not a hex screw or anything like that. Any ideas?

Perhaps you press the sticking out wedge shaped at the top and then it looks as if the unit slides up and then off. This should reveal the screws behind it

If its the same as the ones I fitted in our old guest house there are Allen screws that hold in the wedge. Remove them and tap the wedge up and it should come off revealing the screws holding the main body.

@oppy The moveable part of the bracket is stuck lower than the catch, so it's not that.

@Borders2 I suspect the existence of a screw, but the only potential candidate (just below the boss) has no obvious screw thread or evidence of a hex socket. It looks smooth inside the hole.

I have the same bracket in our motorhome and there is a Allen key screw then just knock it uphill,
It looks like the screw might be missing on yours, have you tried tapping it uphill and also hold the little catch back on the top

The principle of operation (and removal of the arms) looks very similar to https://www.camec.com.au/rv-media-lcd-tv-mount-2-arm (check both images). I agree with Oppy about how it looks as though it should dismantle, but if that doesn't work, it might be worth asking Camec (scroll down to the bottom of https://www.camec.com.au/rv-media-lcd-tv-mount-2-arm for a "Quick question" form).

You might also look at the final image at https://www.camec.com.au/rv-media-lcd-tv-mount-3-arm - does yours have a couple of adjacent holes to enable unlocking (a bit like vehicle radios)?

Looks like the one we had on the Swift. Birmingham screwdriver is the tool to use. They are made for the job and available at most MH accessory shops.

I knew there was a screw. The problem was it had no means of removal.
I removed it eventually with a screw remover.
examining it revealed that whoever tightened it managed to strip the internal hex socket. It was so tight it was embedded in the fixed bracket.

Trouble is with a lot of this stuff it is made in China and they have never heard of hardening screws so with something that small the slightest bit of extra pressure and it strips the end out. On the other hand it could be that the person who tightened it up thought he might want to hang the MH off the bracket or its just one of those things that rattled and he fixed it :)
