Refurbishing alloy wheels

Did they recut the metal and lacquer? or did they repair the corrosion and paint though? lacquering bare metal is really not a good idea.

As an example, that first company that was linked to? This is their confidence in Diamond Cut repairs ....
"AWRUK provide a full 12 months guarantee with all their work. The guarantee is applicable and valid for the owner at the time of when the service was performed by AWRUK for the duration of 12 months and is non-transferable upon the sale of the vehicle to the new owner. Diamond Cut & Polished Wheel Repairs carry a 3 month guarantee only."
Say no more. (that short warranty for diamond cut wheel repairs is typical as well. not just them)

as an aside, I just noticed the T&Cs of the first company ... they include this ... "we shall not be liable for loss or damage caused to you or the vehicle by our losing the keys or locking them in the vehicle." ?? so 'we lost your keys. tough luck'?
Both front wheels had been kerbed when he bought the car. He’s a bit ocd so got all 4 wheels recut and lacquered.
It was a company called TLC near Edinburgh that done the wheels.

No one her i know of recutting kerbed wheels, the last co to close 2 years back was in carrickfergus, chap shut it down one day after being ask for funds to paramiltery group, every one who worked there lost there job and the boss vanaished.
Some small back street boys down the country do some but if to far for folk to go or find them.

I'm between Daventry and Northampton, there are a number of alloy wheel refurbishers locally (I cant recomend any as I've not used them) but I do have the tools and space to remove your wheels and put the van on stands off road while you sort the wheels out if that helps.

We can either do this at a secure storage facility where I normally leave my van or on my drive where it would be safe and covered by CCTV
