Re upholstery

I used to get mildew spots on my boat sales . Removed them by soaking in diluted bleach . Also works on
Pants . DISCLAIMER always do a test peice first . Takes a few days but kills the mould.
Also works on pants 😳

So yesterday I went out to the van to do a bit of messing around and noticed a few mild spots on the upholstery so I stripped of all the covers as they all have zips and out them in the wash on a cool short wash but the spots never budged so it looks like an upholstery job later in the year,
So who has had a reupholstery done and who would you recommend please.

I had the rock'n roll bed in my Trooper done by a firm in Church Stretton - https://www.visionleisureupholstery.co.uk/ - I thought their prices were reasonable, way below what Regal quoted me, and they did a good job.

I'm not sure I should ask this, but how did you get mildewed pants?

Tom Watson Upholstery and Leather services in Airdrie did our van, memory foam on the main bed, covered both and all cushions, front seats done in cloth and leather. He also recovered 2 panels that were worst for wear.

How about professional upholstery cleaning service instead as a first try?

Or do you just fancy giving it a refresh/change of fabric anyway?

Yes thought about that but the dinette cushion that gets used the most has a couple of holes underneath where the hook and loop stuff sticks to the seat base so I think a new complete refresh is in order.

Annie, what ever you do STAY WELL AWAY from Mastercraft Upholstery, Bloomfield Rd, Blackpool.

Their work is by far the worst i`ve ever come across and they think this is perfectly acceptable when fitting zips. see my thread from 2019
