Anyone any ideas on a decent quiet generator that is an alternative to Honda please. They seem to cost an arm and a leg!:scared:

You`re going to need this Tin Hat.jpg :scared: :lol-049:

No Such thing

There's no such thing as a Quiet Generator even a Honda is noisy on load. But if you search the forums there was one for sale unused for £600 a couple of days ago.

It's because any other campers in the vicinity will put sugar in the tank...:danger:

You need LUNA panels for nights, latest development. Quite expensive and only effective at a half moon or better.

WHAT you need is one of my newly patented luna panels twice the power of solar .deposit please to scamtastick .scum.bag

What about in the depths of winter when solar is about as much use as a chocolate firegaurd ?

More solar panels (the OP didn't specify any space limitation  ), or head south to where the sun doth shine :cool1:

well our batteries were kept fully charged all winter, using lights and Tv for 3-4 hours a day it all depends on the number of both batteries and solar panels you have fitted.

I've just bought a Honda 2000w generator, 89Db at 7metres - however its the quietest one on the market and at the well spaced out CL's its unnoticeable. Wouldn't fire it up anywhere though as don't want to intrude on anyone else peace and don't want it pinched so covert use only.
That said I have a 2005 Nuevo with gas only heating and as the Nuevo isn't terribly well insulated this generator will keep me toasty over the winder and recoup the cost by not staying on expensive sites to use their hookups!!
