I've only ever had one puncture in my vans - from a 10p coin of all things! It must have flipped onto it's rim as I drove over it and went straight through the tyre.

As luck would have it we were in the lake district, late at night in the middle of nowhere on a tiny road and it was p1ssing it down.

At least you got a discount on the repair!

I had a rear blow out (Tyre) near Interlaken.
Service truck duly arrived and swapped the spare.
The spare was old and the punctured tyre dodgy. So a pair of tyres needed.
£400 !! Including swapping to the new tyres on front and then putting the 2 fronts on the rear and then the spare rear as the new spare.
NOT recommended. We needed to stay in a costly camp whilst this was done! Again not recommended
But it was a nice camp and we took a mountain rail trip as well.
Fortunately our further overnights were mainly free !
