Just stuff a hole with a plug, drive to the tyre is bald.Another guy I know owns an mot station come garage come tyre bay.
He said that once you put the green stuff in it is impossible to then do a puncture repair as the patch just will not stick to the inside no matter what you clean it with
No,but I've got TPMS fitted which makes that scenario a lot less likely. Not likley to have a high speed blow out on the wheel barrow though.
Puncture safe, slime, oko. Are basically the same product and put into a tyre to prevent punctures. Tyre foam is a different beast used to inflate a tyre and get you home. You are not talking about the same product!
I am talking about PunctureSafe which is the trade name for this product, not a generic term for foam products.
That type of gunge is only any use in an emergency methinks.Hello
I recently discovered Puncture Safe which is injected into the tyres via Puncture Safe’s pump.
I thought this a great idea so installed it into my new Continental Campers before setting off on a trip to Greece
However it didn’t work out so well as I started to get vibrations on the steering wheel much as one would have when wheels are out of balance.
On our return I took the vehicle to have the wheels balanced but this was impossible to do.
Obviously the product rushing around in the tyres creates off balanced wheels on the move.
I have been in touch with Puncture Safe but they say this cannot happen and my wheels or tyres must be off round.
Strange though that now the product has been removed, no further vibrations occur!!
I would advise against not using this product.
Regards
Plug tool and plug strip yes very very effective.Just stuff a hole with a plug, drive to the tyre is bald.
