Public Enemy No 1 ?

Now thats a good debate for round the campfire (y)
Always good fun to have a thought provoking opening gambit

Sheik Mohammed, ruler of Dubai owns over 100,000 acres of British land. He has never harvested a crop, never mined a coal seam, never felled a tree for timber or planted a sapling. His ownership of excessive amounts of British land is based on racing horses, investing money and arguably avoiding taxes. He will never have placed a foot on the majority of this land and likely would not recognise it in a photo. If a family were to start growing some vegetables on his land the law would lean in the Sheiks favour, evidence that land ownership is a fundementally flawed system.

I know there is no camp fire but I was waiting for the potatoes to boil

I know you're game.

You're trying to get me in trouble :p

Found this advive on open spaces web site awhile back ... rather technical ...
https://www.oss.org.uk/need-to-know-more/information-hub/highway-verges/

I liked this (roadside waste includes verges) ... It is the duty of the highway authority to assert and protect the rights of the public to the use and enjoyment of any highway for which they are the highway authority, including any roadside waste which forms part of it.

Seems to me the council as highways authority is ducking its responsibilities to protect the publics right of access by failing to remove the obstructions 🤔

Anyone who parks in front of those few properties is selfish. There really is a huge free car park 200 yards to the west.

I first drove that road over 50 years ago, and that's where I would park up for the night.

:)
