Hi,
I have just finished work for maternity leave and thought what better way to refresh is a week long in a camper van. Booked and paid £1000 for one week hire........and then realised not a single campsite is open until 4th July.
I genuinely didn’t realise that this was an issue with my own washing / cooking / toilet facilities. However now have no-where to stay other than my own front garden.
WAS planning on driving the south coast from Hastings to SandBanks, stopping in Brighton.
Any advice, should I give up and stay put or do you think there are fields / sites / pubs that I can still stop over in?
Many thanks,
Emma
I've emailed them! Can't hurt to point out that their website is encouraging people to break the law by joyfully exclaiming that it's a great way to beat the lockdown!Wow, that is unbelievable!!!![]()
Incorrect the rules have been proven to be no more than a recomendation and not law,the N Irish are running round and when stopped by police just say take me to court and thats the end of it cause they cant.Until the government rules change you must stay home each night, so the only option is your front garden. You could use the van for day trips in England but must return home at night.
On the positive side, Trev . .Incorrect the rules have been proven to be no more than a recomendation and not law,the N Irish are running round and when stopped by police just say take me to court and thats the end of it cause they cant.
I was on the ph to other outboard dealers and they just stayed open and went about there biz,im the only one who went into lock down.

Motorhome hire UK & rental from Just go motorhomes
Motorhome hire by Just go Motorhome Rental UK, who offer two to six berth RV hires in the UK. We offer Motorhomes for hire in the UK. Largest self-hire fleet and best place to rent an RV.www.justgo.uk.com
not read any of the details but it seems crazy to me that motorhome hire companies are renting vans out and not explaining the lock down rules to people (if that is the case).
Strange that you should think that..OP is probably a troll
I think the whole thing is a windup by the OP, not been seen since

it states that the minister has said theyve changed the law from ban unless allowed by specific exemption to anythings allowed unless specifically banned.
it also gives a list of some reasons for staying away from home overnight, to me the most flexible would seem to be for work.
it also states the rule/advise was one should not stay overnight in another persons home.
in short nothing in that article to say its illegal to stay overnight in a motorhome.
