If you are going to use a 230/240v TV, 300 inverter should be okay. A 500 Inverter would be comfortable for all your needs, like charging mobiles etc.

Couldn't agree more, however you may need to be looking at a pure sine-wave inverter due to the sensitivity of the equipment you are thinking of using.
Using a TEC29 generator will not be a problem, as the inverter is a pure sine-wave system, however not a cheap solution (£3900 to £4500 pending on installation).
Alot of the guys'n'gals on here (me included) can certainly suggest a cheaper method that will benefit you more in the long run!

hi well what is the cheaper option you are talking about as yes the tec gennie is a lot of money too much whereas the eg20 fitted is approx £2500 god its a minefield out there lol

There is no magic wand to wave here regarding power production, as everyone of us here picks a different solution to our own personal circumstances i.e peeps spending alot of time in the sun prefer solar power, others protable genny's, others (like myself) use advanced battery charging or a combination of 2 or 3 of the above.
Others have different ideas such as wind generators, Methanol Fuel cells .............. and the list goes on!!!

It's identifing how you plan to use the van that's imortant, whethter a majority is in hot climates or all year round.

FYI Mine is fitted out with a 100W solar panel for hotter times, then the Sterling B2B Charger when I need power quick. In my opinion, the best of both worlds but this may not be the same view as others may walk a different path. As I use the van all the time (or when I can ;-) ), I do not want the capabilities of the electrics hold me back in any way at all.
