Posh watch

That is up to you...

The Balmoral Hotel is a 10 storey building adjacent to Waverly Railway Station in Edinburg,
It has a large clock tower with mupltiple clock faces so it can be seen form many directions.

Traditionally, from 1902, it has always been kept 3 minutes fast to ensure that people don’t miss their train.

The only exception each year is on 31st December (Hogmanay) for celebrating the incoming New Year at midnight.
Didn't know the last bit , and I live 100 yards away !

I use my watch to track activity, remind me when is time to take meds and which meds, check heart rate and a load of other health things, track sleep, calendar notifications, reminders, outside temp, sometimes even tell the time.

Yes I can do some of that with my phone but this all just happens on my wrist, no need to dig phone out.

Oh yeah, nearly forgot, If I fall over and hut myself it will send out alerts to whatever contacts I assign plus emergency service.

Lot of other stuff I use sometimes but that's my main uses. Neither my Tag or my Seiko or any of my other watches will do this

When young any wind up watches always stopped on my wrist, i was told i have to much static in me, these days i have no prob with battery watches.

I worked in Apex House, Peterborough in 1983, literally just across the road from Peterborough FC; I never went to a game though, so I knew then I would never get a Posh Watch ... :ROFLMAO:

Steve

I had to stop wearing watches as i got the faces smashed working on cars/bikes, only of late have i used one to save me depocketing my mobile.

I bought a Seiko 5 (good quality fake) in Saudi which looked good, self winding etc. About a year later I am working on an Oil Refinery, up on a scaffolding platform trying to loosen some 80 mm nuts on a large vessel. We were using a huge Impact Wrench and hanging on for grim death because the scaffold boards were bouncing along with us. We had got quite a few loosened off and then my watch just exploded, bits went everywhere and I was left with just the case and strap on my wrist. 😁

Can we have a ‘yawn’ emoji
We already do....

I quite fancied having a smart watch, but not sure about whether it has too much info. Would use it for some of the functions though. Steps, time, and maybe paying for stuff. How much do you want for it @oppy?

Would not use it for paying stuff as its not pure android, everything else ok, but it will be tracking you so you can forget that big blonds house. ;)
