If anyone is around the Beja/Serpa area, the municipal campsite at Serpa is charging €10 per night for two people including electric and wifi. Easy walk into town, facilities not five star but adequate.

We're in the process of planning next years 6 monther and loosely thinking Spain, Portugal with maybe Gibralter, pos Morocco then home via France so this info will be helpful.:wacko:
There are quite a few cheap stopover sites on the Algarve charging around 5 euros a night if you rally want cheap. Pretty basic and cramped but quite popular from what I have seen. Mainstream campsites are about 15 a night for short term stays but are down to 10 to 11 for 30 days or more.
