Portugal 4 weeks of rain?

And yet. We walked down to the, admittedly windy, beach in sunshine just now! I swear the forecast was rain .....but now it is sun! 🤯

Got a few weeks before you leave...keep positive! We have to return end march so fully expect a great improvement once we go!
Heading off in a week or so . Never , normally , check forecasts . Will still be heading south to Spain just need to try and follow , sorry find , the sun

all is not lost today we had 24deg and the solar panel pumping in 21.1A . heading down towards la manga strip tomorrow then tip towing into andulucia
Much the same as us Ken. Howling gale strong enough to blow me backwards on the footpath, yet enough sun poking through the racing clouds to get the Leisure Battery up to float at 14.23v in under 5 hours. The sun was warm enough for me to overheat, so I unzipped the windcheater and came close to a Mary Poppins impersonation ... :ROFLMAO:

Odd as a bottle of crisps ...

We were going to Portugal however in the days before we ferried Portugal looked very wet and even now continues to look wet.

So on arrival in Santander we decided on Valencia and eastern Spain which looked dry, warm and after 9 days continues to be dry although a bit grey at times with one overnight shower.

Just curious really but for those wildcampers in Portugal was it/is it really as damp and wet as the weather forecasts are suggesting?

Even Seville seems to have had a bit of a soaking in the last 4 weeks.

Would like to know if forecasts can be relied on to be honest for future reference.
We have been in Portugal. Constant wet and windy, lots of attractions closed. Weather not improving until at least mid feb. Southern spain is the same, only dry north of Algeria, which is where we are now. Everyone seems to get doing the same so it will get crazy busy from murcia upwards.

i think martin above is correct we are above murcia tried 4 paid aires yesterday all within couple of miles all rammed, doesn’t help lots of go to wildcamping spots have been cleared and bans in place , ie santa pola has now been declared a national park nothing over 2 .2 mts wide allowed inc mirrors el pinet daytime parking only police visits and fines

In central Portugal it has been un believably bad torrential rain many many houses with damage to roofs building etc ,trees power lines down, many people still without electric water etc. Please stay away until things improve as many roads are still impassable. We were lucky as only had small amount of damage to our house but over seventeen very big trees down in garden .It will be several weeks before normally returns.

Hi I am glad to see you only had a small amount of damage. I was just wondering where in Portugal you are?.
I have a house in Vidais 10 min drive south of Caldas da Raihna and according to my neighbour the house is all ok.
I will not be back to Portugal until 17th March ,due to 90 in 180 day rule (AAARRRGGGHHH!!! Breckshit the gift that keeps on giving😠) so will know more then. I am glad I missed the bad weather but would still like to spend more time in out there.
