Hi, having finally cleared the decks I can now put down the FREE Aires & stopovers that we used while travelling down to Porto & back. Six weeks on the road, only paid for four nights, two in Compostela = camping As Cancelas, bus to centre at the end of the street. Porto = camping Orbitur, bus to centre outside gate.

Roncesvalles = monastery car park (motor homes welcome) Fr – W

Leon = Carrefour shopping complex Fr – T & obviously shopping
Cape Finnestere = camper parking by lighthouse Fr
Carreco = Ave de forte car park on beach Fr ( saw only 2 fishermen in 4 days )
Vila do Conde = Avenida Brasil, by fort on beach Fr
Pinhao = Travessa da Marginal, right on bank of the Douro river. Fr – T – D - B
Salamanca = camping municipal, by church. Fr - W
Avila = camping municipal, by city walls. Fr – W – D
Galapager = by lake. Fr 40 34’39.21N 4 02’39.09W
Pyrenees = Col de Portalet. Fr ( also – 9 when I got up for a pee at 3.o.clock. )
Agen = Rue de la Benazie ( by river ) Fr
Perigueux = camping Municipal by river, Ru Nouvalle des quais. Fr – W – D – B
Cognac = camping Municipal by river, Ru de la Halle. Fr – W – D – B
Rochfort = camping Municipal by port, Ave Marcel Dessault. Fr
