Portable wifi speaker?

Well, I know you really like your music, so maybe in your case a purchase is justified... ;):giggle: 🤷‍♀️
Justification? Who needs justification where boys toys meet tech meet deffing out the Technical Director with the headphones on?

'I heard every word, darling. No, I'm not lying, it's just that I chose to ignore them ...'

And that was the point at which the lights went out and medical care was required ... :ROFLMAO:. I didn't feel the extraction of the headphones, but I do miss those Good Vibrations, except for the grains of sand ...

Hi Marie,
Don't know if you have arrived at a solution yet. Here's a spanner in the works, potentially.
I have a Bang & Olufsen Beolit 12 in perfect working order and cosmetically near perfect.
Take a look online.
If you think it would be useful to you, then you are more than welcome to have it, gratis.
If you're interested, I'll do my best to get it to you by Christmas.

Marie, have you chosen your speaker/radio yet?
not got one for sale, but just wondering as your thread make me think again about getting a replacement for my Pure Evoke Radio whose display has eaten itself so the radio is no longer usable (Some of the Pure radios use some kind of organic display which only last a certain period of time before they deteriorate).
I think you mentioned you like to listen to radio as well? I would certainly recommend you look at radios that can play Internet Radio (yes, of course you can use your phone to listen to internet radio, but it is just nicer in many ways to use a 'proper' radio to do so) as well as DAB and FM.
My Evoke Pure did that and was an excellent unit when I bought it back in 2009 but been without it for a few years now and it is very awkward to listen to one very specific radio station I like in the US on either the phone or smart speaker but on the internet radio was no problem.
Bought - and sent back - one possible contender, but I have great hopes for a new Roberts Radio that is arriving tomorrow. More than I really wanted to spend (even as an Amazon Resale unit) but given up buying the cheap random brand stuff as it is really 'get what you pay for' with so many things (excepting Apple which should be 25% of what they charge for the quality of the product).

Have a look at the 'Who's Awake?' thread David.

Not having much joy here in Benidorm! I forgot our fire stick and echo dot speaker, so I bought new from Amazon Spain, I have an Xtrons flip down screen set it up this evening and Echo pop speaker only converses in Spanish and the bloody fire stick is all German. Some films I can alter to English but not all and for sound I’ve had to pair up with a FM setting on portable radio.

Yes, thank you, David (y)

Neil got me a Bose for a birthday present, grand thing it is too (video of it working below), very pleased with it 👌

Boris7 also sent me an Elan Connect+ radio he no longer uses or needs in exchange for a charity donation, so I am covered on all fronts now 💪(y)😉

Thanks again for all the suggestions, folks, the Bose will definitely do the job both at home and on the road in the van.
