Kitchen not yet fitted and we don't cook much, so can anyone recommend a portable single stove, for which we can find disposable gas bottles in France readily. It's mainly for brewing tea/coffee and making quick noodle soups.

Thanks

Will I be able to buy the C250 cartridge abroad, or does anyone know where i can get bulk buy Camping Gaz C250 cartridges. I know halford sometimes do them for a £1.20 each.

Thanks

Please note they are CP 250 rather than C250 cannisters.

I don’t know if it was the cheaper ones but there has been a lot on some forums of models similar to that one where the cans have got hot and exploded so buy a branded one.

We bought one of the stoves in Halfords sale earlier this year for £7 (I think). We have had one for several years and use it to cook fish, BBQ etc. Outside the van..

somehow we have 3 0f them , brilliant idea . i cook fish in the porch with one .

This did happen in Australia I think it was Annie.

They were cheaper faulty versions and people used oversized pans on them which reflected heat onto the gas cylinder. The ones over here are perfectly safe, but still advisable not to use a pan which exceeds the size of the grill.

Like Nigel, I have accumulated a few of these and they are really good.

Do you not have to have a fixed stove to reg as a motorcaravan.
Any way go outdoors has there little gas ovens reduced to £90 which go on small cyl so i bought one rather than a m/wave,cyl can be bought in 10 packs ebay for £10 post free.
