Ponds @ North Muskham, Newark

Does anyone know the status of these ponds? 53.105156,-0.809898.
I drive past them almost weekly and there's always vans & tents around them.
Obviously everyone's fishing, but can anyone stay? Or is it all private?

Would be a great place for me this year, as I'm standing at Swinderby antiques fair & both Newark Antiques & Autojumbles. Stayed at Brough Fold on a A46 again last week, but its not great for the dog.

Dont know about the ponds but there looks a nice little carpark at the side of the river near Farndon 53.071785,-0.854595 (drop down to river directly below the "A" marker and zoom in) its in the poi database be a lot quieter.

got a m8 who fishes round here , i will ask him when i see him

had a word with my m8 who goes fishing round there , he says that all the campers there are fishermen and when he goes they just pull up and start fishing and someone comes round to collect the money which is usually £5 but has heard that its gone up to £10 but hasnt been lately so can not confirm this , the gate is usually locked at night

he now goes the other side of the a1 at winthorpe where someone else owns it and he charges £4 a night to fish , but tells me that he thinks this man would let you camp for the night if you paid your £4 , so might be worth a ride to ask him if your going past a bit
