Going it alone...

Your thread is the main reason I just love this forum...it gives insight to others of what is achievable and confidence to take the plunge...Thank so much x
So much so, I've thrown caution to the wind and took a month off work - and France is my destination,,,just me and and my 2 Doogles. I've never been away for that length of time before, im both excited and a little nervous but seriously I carnt wait. I'm in the process of trying to decide where to go, so reading all these suggestions is a god send.

Roll on August

OK Peanutty if you can do it so can I! Although I am 20 years older.....I travelled around India by myself for 6 months - in my late 30's - but the problem with France is I did it for years with my (now deceased) partner, wildcamping 20 years ago and it's going to be hard without him. Plus he did all the driving!! Actually getting a van by myself was really emotional but I've just got back from a 2 week trip in Scotland and it's the best thing I've done for ages! Good luck with your adventure

Thanks for your reply - looking at the long range forecast it's going to be rain the first two weeks of July in that area anyway so we'll probably end up heading south into Spain to search for the sun! Saying that, there is plenty of time for things to change and the weathermen to change their minds
