Is there any reason I cannot use these Instead of John Guest fittings?

It says they are for water, air or vac. I have used those type at work for water in the past with no problems, but get a proper tube cutter so you don't damage the o rings in them.

Thanks for the replies, will get a proper pipe cutter from Screwfix - around £12, will be well used, everytime I touch a joint I cause a leak. :lol-053:

These do up to 14 mm and are good enough for the amounts of cuts you will be doing.Nylon Tube Cutters and Plastic pipe Cutter,snippers, will cut any plastic Tubing

Hi, there will be no problem using this type of fitting with water, we use them on the water cooling system for the brakes on the race truck, operating at up to 150 psi, never had any problems.

Bought some similar 12mm joints from eBay - China seller 5 for under £3 posted, will keep as spares just in case.
