Latest wheeze from the fertile brain of Dominic Cummings.

Ban all 70 + pensioners from leaving home.

Thats most of us lot buggered, better lay the van up.

However lets look on the bright side. The street mggings will go down with you lot quarantined.

As far as we are concerned our campervan is our home....simples.

I can't see that keeping the elderly indoors is an insult. Surely it is because they are the group that get so ill that at the least they have to be hospitalised.

have we forgotten that sunlight and freshair builds the immune system which is what mininises the symptoms of the virus when we catch it, and catch it we will.
Yes and staying indoors promotes viruses and transmission.
Lack of stimulation being stuck indoors is also detrimental to mental health.
The PMs team seem to have lots of fresh air..inbetween their ears !

Surely it makes sense I'd have thought the majority would self isolating by now but when all these other countries have or are imposing travel bans why is the UK government so slow to take action

Yes but for those who are not ill it is OTT.
Minimise minimise, minimise yes...We will have to wait and see how severe the restrictions are

Damned it they do damned if they don't. The public moan saying lockdown should have come sooner, the government aren't doing enough. The public moan wnen government proposes measures to help protect the most at risk group.
Top and bottom of it, The Public Moan.

We are going into a semi self isolation mode, we'll still go for walks in the country, around towns early morning before the crowds gather. We won't be doing pubs, 😭 cafe's, or restaurants, Will only do shops when needed and very early or late on.

Generally avoiding people and being mindful of hygiene.

Worlds going to change that's for sure.

The sensible approach.

Exactly. Been wondering wtf people are being discouraged from going OUTSIDE in the fresh air etc. Surely exercise outside (walking, cycling etc.) on your own, without contact with other people, is a very important way of combatting it.
Everyone seems to be assuming they should just stay indoors vegetating by the TV, computer etc. - the obese, heavy smokers & drinkers who get no excercise, no matter what age they are, are likely going to be the most vulnerable.
