Pleas for help and feedback

Often we get people asking for help with problems, often a lot of helpful advice, often no feedback on what solved the problem.

It would be nice if we knew what did and did not work to fix the problems - I hate re-inventing the wheel if someone has already come up with a fix.

This could be said of many forums of this type. The same questions get asked again and again; at least with Wildcamping people have the "thanks" button and that does help to make one's answers seem a bit more worth while
