Feeling a bit furious.

We arrived yesterday, and paid for two nights. 15 minutes ago, the woman who took our money arrived and demanded in no uncertain terms that we leave. And she wasn't very nice about it either.

Apparently, the space we were on (along with several others) had been reserved so was needed by the people who had made the reservation. My Portuguese is non existent but I'd really, really like to know when they made their reservation.

On principal, we demanded our money back - it was only €3 but even so.

I'm pretty cross because we actually had planned to stay an extra couple of nights.

Quite right to be angry. Publicise it on any other site you post on .
Possibly you've been cancelled for a short term gain from another booking.
From my experience in hospitality that is always a lose/lose for the host

Actually, I would still recommend it. It's a good aire with facilities on each space. It's more the attitude of the woman that annoyed me. In hindsight, I wish I'd stood my ground and said maybe these people did have a reservation but by the fact I'd paid already, so did I. They could have used some of the unserviced spaces outside of the aire.

Guess you can't get on one of the free unserviced pitches?

That's what we did.
