I love animals, in fact we have our share, but sadly not with us. After listening to a dog yapping and barking for well over an hour, I decided enough is enough. I went to the motorhome were the dog was, it was tethered up outside while the owners and I presume there children were sat inside with the door wide open. I asked them if they were deaf, I said your dog has been yapping and barking for over an hour, no other dogs here are doing that. Typical bloody Spanish inconsiderate owners. They soon got the jist of how annoyed I was and took it for a walk, it is now inside the motorhome and everything is silent.

We also have four other Spanish families who let there kids run riot, cycling between all the motorhomes, I've sorted them out too, be glad when the Spanish holidays are over. Signing out Mr Grumpy.

I was right 2.38am in the morning and bang goes the peace, must have been emptying the bottle bank this morning with the racket, these motorhomers must drink a hell of a lot, the amount of bottles crashing into the bin wagon was unbelievable. Tut

Actually did me a favour for a change as the fridge control panel was flashing, it had run out of gas, forgot to turn the spare bottle on. Glad the neighborhood was all asleep, I'm not a pretty sight making a dash in my boxers to turn the other gas bottle on. Lol

Ah but they took a video of you very very quietly!🤣🤣🤣

I am constantly annoyed by horrible English dogs.
I am not sure why you are complaining about the Spanish, are you in Spain?? Are you enjoying their lovely sunshine and countryside, and food and wine?
They are, as a people, generally more noisy then us but travel teaches tolerance maybe.

I'm sorry but I do find that a tad unfair.

You say that you are 'constantly annoyed by horrible English dogs', If they are annoying, surely you would feel unhappy with your surroundings and complain, it doesn't really matter where you are in the world.

Secondly, most dogs of whatever nationality are not horrible, there are bad owners who don't exercise proper control over their pets, but again that is nothing to do with location.

It seems to me that Brits abroad are always the bad guys, but most are actually not vest wearing football hooligans with Union Jack bandanas around their bonces, but rather just ordinary people trying to enjoy their holiday. Perhaps a little tolerance is also due to the Brits, however a nasty people some like to think we are!

Agree 100% Rob 👍

Here this Is got me thinking🤔 is there such a thing as a French English or Spanish dog or are all dogs by lingual can they understand shut the feck up in any language. And if so do they bark with the accent of the country of origin. If yes then that explains why a German Shepard from Glasgow sounds tougher than one from England😜😂

Mark my words, if it had been an English van it would have got the same reaction from me, if a dog is yelping and barking constantly, then commonsense should tell you something is up, it needed attention and they were just oblivious to the noise it was making, even though they were sat in the motorhome with the door open. As soon as I showed them the error of there ways they took it for a walk and put it inside the van, it was then quite from then on.

In the morning it was outside the van with them, but it was quite and not distressed. I'm all for folk having fun, but be considerate to.your surrounding and your neighbours. I'm quite sure others on the Aire were pissed off with the racket it was making but perhaps didn't have the same courage as me to approach them.

I wonder if the guy with the dog is on his Spanish wildcamping forum complaining about the moaning Englander?

Hope so, hope they also gave my Reg number out, perhaps others will then be wary and considerate and keep there pets and kids under control when they see me around. Don't know what it is with Spanish dogs my mother and sister lived in Spain and adopted two Spanish dogs, the dogs were as daft as a brush, in the end they had to get rid of them, they were uncontrollable. Since then she has got an English dog, much calmer and quieter.

Robmac, I wanted to counter the unpleasant attitude to the 5 Spanish families mentioned.

Travelling around Spain dogs barking is in their culture. Some areas are really bad. The Spanish are loud that’s in their culture as well. To get peace you need to WC away from others ;)
They are mad motorhomers as well who can’t park, squeeze into any space, don’t know how things on aires work, bang around inside late at night, it’s quiet funny.
To be honest there isn’t any nationality that behaves, so either address the problem as the poster did, live with it or move on ;)
