Park Resorts

Sorry for the post, I didn't realise that you were all stuck in on one place and looking for top end facilities. I booked on the basis that I could sit out for a few days and do my own thing on site, including drink my own beer or wine as the case may be. I can tour around the area, walk along the beach and just generally relax, maybe have a swim in the heated pool. Wild camping is great but sometimes it's nice to enjoy a break on site. For those a little more adventurous when you search change the default results from default to price ascending and it lists cheapest sites first. Saves trawling through the expensive ones and being disappointed !

How did you come to this assertion?

I have enjoyed my stay on these sites but what I do object to is being taken for a mug by an offer that does not exist. And yes the ascending price never started at £2.50 and still awaiting a reply as to where I can get such a tremendous deal and unfortunately you have to trawl through them all to find an area you may be considering Have you found the £2.50 deal?

Tried again and applying discount code the nearest I got to £7 for Eyemouth was £13.50 and in the whole search never got a £2.50. Eyemouth showed one pitch available at the promotion code so why it did not show £7 ????? Never found a £2.50 anywhere but no doubt they will be subject to availability and sold out.

They must think we are gullible.

Full marks for perseverance:)

I didn't see or get an email regarding the £2.50 deal. I just posted the promo that was £4 a night. I never had to trawl through the offers as I changed from default to price asc. Having stayed many times before I know what I get for my money, showers, water,CDP and a pool in a nice setting. Not every bodies cup of tea ,I agree. Certainly beats C&CC £7.50 for 3 hours.

We went to Northumberland earlier in year and stayed at a Park Resort for a few nights, we were overlooking the beach, no one approached to buy or anything else, we walked around the site bought some stuff in the shop (groceries) which were a little bit more expensive than we usually pay but we expected this so were not surprised or disgusted. We enjoyed this. You get what you pay for. For families with small children they can do a reasonable holiday then staying in a hotel, which means they at least get a holiday. Many years ago we had two static caravans at Mablethorpe and we also let people pay in instalments as a way of saving for a holiday. I agree with the original poster - you have to trawel for good prices but it is worth it. Have a happy day

I stayed at North Seaton in Northumberland last week and it was 17.70 a night. We had no choice as we had caught a stomach bug and were erupting at both ends. I was not impressed with the site. Very untidy with a bad slope and very uneven ground as if they thought we cannot put statics there so the tourers can have it. The electric points were close together so for many the awnings from the caravans were almost on the next pitch. I could not recommend it and as soon as I booked in I recieved a text advertising statics for sale.

Hi, we have used the park resort offers and have been happy enough. Yes the bar prices might be a touch high but nobody holds a gun to your head making you drink there. It must be good for them to offer off peak deals as they still have staff to pay etc if they get an extra £5 spend out of you it's better then nothing. At the off peak prices it's cheaper then cls or any of the club sites.

Park Resort

Stayed at Withernsea Park resort on several occasions with the Grandchildren when we had the caravan.Had some good deals and on occasion never used the club at all. We were actually going to have our maiden voyage last October to a Park Resort but they wanted us to pay for two pitches because our motor is 32 ft long. All the pitches are on grass anyway at Withernsea so I declined the offer. Having said all that, we always had a great time and would visit again for single pitch price !!!

Received an email from Park Resort today with offers from "£2.50" a night. Trawled through their very cumbersome offers pages, 14 of, and found not one. Have had similar offers in the past and not one materialised. Has anybody actually got one of these deals?
Have sent an inquiry to PR asking where the £2.50 is.

if you get the home page up click on special offers it then comes up there is only one place that comes up at £2.50 per night and that is thorness bay isle of wight, but it is there Holidays and Short Breaks in the UK - Search and Book with Park Resorts

Thanks for correcting me as the £2.50 are there. Used the method you suggested and although the plan of UK indicated a price of £7 now £5.6 for Eyemouth could not get there, or at least I was not prepared to trawl through 35 pages and eventually found a price of £15 a night for 7 nights. I suppose the idea is to get you to phone up and then snare you.

I received the email but didn't bother looking for the £2.50 offers, as they are bound to be rare. I did however book an electric-plus pitch at Southview, Skegness for 4 nights from 7th July at £9.50 per night - not a bad price for July:cool:
I have never found their bar prices to be extortionate, but I suppose it depends where you live - they do seem to charge London prices, but it's only about 20p a pint more, for Guinness, than I pay in most places and is actually cheaper than some pubs I've been to:cheers:
As for selling their statics, I have been to many of their sites and they have been mentioned sometimes, but never found them pushy.

I despair , first page, no trawling. 10 offers at £2.50 from the Isle of White to Scotland. :sleep-027:

How do you go on with the Pitch Sizes ?

I`ve just had a quick look at the Yorkshire ones and whilst the prices seem good it does say " Size 6m X 6m ".

No one has commented on my question about the " 6m X 6m " pitch sizes so i presume they don`t bother ?

On haven they had the offer sun to fri inc electric £25 as we was 7 meters long they said our deal would be£30 , still good. I guess park resorts might do similar.

pitch size

No one has commented on my question about the " 6m X 6m " pitch sizes so i presume they don`t bother ?

When we go out of season pitch size has never been an issue as there has never been more than a dozen campers on the field, and the fact that we had a VW T4 last September when we stayed.

I went to Warden Springs and the brochure said pitch sizes were 6x6. As my van was longer than 6m I gave them a ring - they said it was not a problem and the touring pitches were actually much longer than 6m. I suspect that there maybe a problem on the tent area in the height of summer:confused: The best thing is just to ring the site direct - they are the ones who will know:cool:

Just booked and paid for 3 nights next week all in for £7.50 .....................

Thank you very much theredman.

Withernsea sands

Just got back from Yorkshire , Withernsea Sands. 5 nights £16. Couldn't fault it, no worry over pitch sizes, plenty of space. Swimming twice a day and £3 a pint of bud on draught.
Just booked a week on the Isle of Sheppey , off on Friday morning, followed by 2 weeks on the Isle of White for the all in price of £120. Oh , and free return ferry. I'm beginning to like PR.:drive:

Got here yesterday ( tuesday ) and i suppose for the money it`s OK. Free Wi-Fi included in the price as well.

It is packed, rammed jam full, mainly with seasonal pitches and they love it here .................. LOL

The only downside are the obnoxious shyte hawks that are on the pitch next to us.

When we got here they were in their awning music blasting out and already 3/4`s cut and that was only 2pm.

I asked them politely to tone it down a bit, he just laughed told me to f-off and turned it up.

A few others complained to them then the park warden came round and had a word, things went quiet.

They got their heads down at 5-ish and they came out dressed to kill at 9pm and went to the entertainment.

Came back at 12.30am sh*t-faced and made a hell of a racket as they clambered back into their van.

We`ll see what tonight brings, at the moment they are fast asleep in their van.

I returned the favour at 9am this
