Overnight stops in Cambridge

We are off to Cambridge later this month to visit our Daughter. Generally, we stay at the C&CC site at Cabbage Moor, but would like a few nights somewhere else and cheaper!
Saw Milton Country Park on ************* and wondered if anyone has been there recently and can recommend it?
Or any other stops nearby. We will be cycling or bussing into the centre most days, so somewhere not too far away.
