Overnight stay in Camper Van thwarted by police

Is it just me? The no staying away from home rule is still there so why would anyone be surprised by this. Where I live there have been a couple of camper vans staying overnight and the reaction from locals is very anti camper van now. Remember there are many tourist businesses such as hotels and guest houses still unable to operate and hurting badly. After local lobbying we managed to get recognised camper van overnight parking in the town, believe me the image presented by people openly flouting the rules does nothing for our cause.
Look on the web and it says covid 19 guidelines
This to me doesn't say I can't stop in my motor home .
Home been the big word as I am staying in my home be it my 2nd home I am not breaking the rules.
Don't know how it would stand up in court but hey ho as of next w/end we all can and not worry about a knock on the door.
Happy camping every one.

Think that was changed to suit Dom Cummings. 🤣

Overheard a conversation at our local beach today that sone people had been moved on at 1.30am at a Local beach regently. Not sure which one but if NT that say no overnight parking or camping, then serves them right!!!!
Need to still obey rules where they are signposted. What are people like!

They don't in Wales. Mark Drakeford ,Wales First Minister (never heard of him? count yourself lucky) has just announced that self catering accommodation and static caravans can open from 13th July because they are self-contained. No mention of self-contained MHs or towed vans. I have the impression that he doesn't know they exist.
We live in Wales and love Wales but, come the 4th, we're already booked and off to England.
like i did in 1962, no i love cymru , and cadir idris, and llanfihangel-y-penant, but my family live in england ,so looks like im stopping ok pj.

MoHo parked up overnight at Clay Pigeon , Dorset, last night, OR, the occupants got up really early, drove there and shut all the blinds at 7am! I don't think so.

Maybe they were just driving home from a very long day out early in the morning, and stopped for safety reason, dangerous to drive whilst tired.
oh i like it, then i get tired, so, head down, oh yes. if it is good for ? barnard castle, let all hell brake loose, you no what i mean.some are natrual twister, ok pj

Theres a guy that parks down the bottom of the parkland at the back of mine fro the past 2 or 3 weeks, he seems to moved it regularly at about 3 am then back the next night or so.
I asked him Wednesday why he seemed to move and I explained Im MH owner from up the hill, theres mine in my garden you can just see it blah blah ;)

He is full time and moves when he feels he needs through the night just so he can say he hasn't parked overnight, hes probably heading for 70 and says he is usually moving around with another van or 2 but they have both gravitated toward family for illness and lockdown issues.

I said but why, if they question you you have always only just arrived and were tired needed to sleep before driving on, so we have now a witness for him :)
my neighbours are a friendly bunch, and he is dong no one no harm down by the water
like it ok.pj.
