Fitted oven shelf guards from Aldi £1.99 a pair. Very good for stopping the shelf rattling. Being silicone should be ok to keep in situ when using the grill.

Only one more squeak to identify and I will be able to enjoy a quietish trip

We wrap our oven shelf in a dish towel.

We never throw away bubble wrap.
Great rattle stopper and hours of entertainment popping it, if nothing better to do.

I also use a silicon baking sheet to line the grill section, that stops the grill pan sliding around in there. And also a silicon baking tin to line the grill pan from the grill rack. All have dual uses and no worries about packing out for rattles and no panic if you forget to remove when using the oven etc
