I'm having problems....the mileage is unreadable, as in missing digits (part digits displayed).
The MOT is due.
Will it pass?

That is what was happening, but now they refuse to come back

Obviously it's not a fail as some members have passed without a reading.

But I always thought that the mileage was recorded as part of the MOT test - is it just recorded as 'not known'?

I can't remember the exact words but it is something like not known, or unreadable .

Not bad thanks, clocked up about 500 miles now and still alive!
