Not the news I wanted to hear

So ever since they started vaccinating against this awful COVID 19 I have been trying to find out if people like me who are on lifelong immune suppressants actually get any protection they have urged us to get vaccinated first in the hope that it would, but listening to the news it seems not. I have always questioned this with doctors, nurses and my specialist because in my head if your given a jab to boost your T cells but on medication to suppress your T cells is there some sort of conflict going on in your body I have thought of asking for an antibody test to put my mind at rest, now as the below was released on the news last night it seems that thousands of immune suppressed vulnerable people will still have no normal life.
So I was looking forward to coming to meets and hugging my friends ( I do love a hug ) I will come to some meets but if I’m stand offish it’s not because I don’t like you it’s because you still could have germs that may kill me 😢😢

A grandmother who is double-vaccinated against Covid-19 fears she will never be able to hug her grandchildren again and she could die from the virus as her medical condition means she is unlikely to have many coronavirus antibodies.

Previously it had been hoped that vaccination of the majority of the population could lead to herd immunity which would offer protection to the unvaccinated and those with weakened immune systems and levels of Covid in society would be relatively low. However, new research suggests the dominance of the Delta variant has destroyed the prospect of this.
While having two doses of a Covid vaccine means someone is less likely to catch the respiratory disease, if they do test positive they still carry similar levels of the virus to those who are unvaccinated.

With the previous Alpha variant, level of virus in the vaccinated were lower.

The research from the University of Oxford - which has not yet been peer-reviewed - suggests Tina Whiteside and others who are vulnerable can't rely on others to protect them.

Dont know about much of that as yet, but since I got mine I have had nothing but trouble with rashes on hands back of the neck and itchy underarms, also times of tiredness and brain fog, but then again I think I had covid 2 years back after viz to horsepidal, two nurses at my GP have said they are having the same problems, two in our family have had covid and one is dead.
The rate of infection is going through the roof here as many wont take the jab as they say its a British way of killing the folk of to save paying pensions, and its got a chip init spying on you. 🤔

@campervanannie, Annie, have you managed to talk with your consultant and ask for an anti body test ?
Yes I asked and they said they would look into it but didn’t seem optimistic as they suggested I try ask on the 111 line or my gp seems there is a criteria for the antibody test but I will keep asking though I suspect after last nights announcement they will be overwhelmed with requests.
