Bought a Renault Master today, and so the build begins.

Then again? maybe not? I am in dispute with the firm that sold me the van. On delivery, it proved to be missing many of the advertised features. I saw it advertised on GumTree and expected to get the van advertised there but did not. I will start a new thread later.

[/QUOTE]not the best start. But hopefully you get it sorted out. While not knowing the company it's not giving of good vibes. If it was me I would be walking away. Good luck (y)

At the moment walking away is not an option. They are telling me that as they have a disclaimer on their website saying the description of the vehicles they have for sale may not be correct and therefore the one on GumTree is not to be used as a description of the actual vehicle supplied, even though that disclaimer is not on the advert. If Phil wants to remove the attached then I completely understand.

the vehicle delivered does not have, Air-con, Cruise Control, working Sat Nav, Anti-theft protection, Isofix prep, Roof rails, remote rear door release, Stop-Start or Full-Service History.

Hi Will The advert does not advise checking their website though does it.

No mention of their website on the Gumtree advert at all.
But why is that an issue?

The crucial thing I can see immediately from what you are saying is that the description attached to the Gumtree advert is false and misleading.
It lists things that the van, when finally delivered, does not actually have.

They can't use their website as an excuse, imho.

Trading Standards?

You should report a business to Trading Standards if they sold you something:

  • not as described - for example, you bought a package holiday but something advertised wasn't included.
