I would'nt wish a Yorkshire upbringing on anyone, not when they can come up here to Gods little acre.

Me Whippets start shaking with fear at Scotch Corner when I head South and don't stop until we clear Yorkshire.

:welcome: to yorkshire where you can have :fun: plenty of :shag: and :nospam:

I thought the UK's motorway system was built so that Southerners could travel in safety to the Terra Nullius to the North of the M25.

Gotta wonder what the social worker would do with kids born to a West Indian mother and a Polish father - have them living in the mid Atlantic?

Despite being born in the SW I have managed to survive in Huddersfield by adapting to the local lingo and food - I'm learning Polish and Urdu and eat curry.

think polish as become the universal uk language now. they certainly get every where. have several as friends and they are very hospitable. we dont have too many dark skinned down here .not like yorkshire . i remember going to barnsley as a child and hardly saw a white man. every bus conductor driver etc . no wonder someone thought of love thy neighbour. seems so long ago now .

Suvernors!!

Wot the bloomin hec are these people on about! Social workers! I fort they ad years o' training to get um where they are today! And at the tax payers expense!
Gaw'd help us!! My kids were deported from South London to East Yorkshire many years ago and everyone admired their accent! They were recognised as 'not bein from around ere' and when they explained that they came from London, they were frequently complimented for getting from there to here everyday for school!
Dear god - the north, south divide is an old old story now - let's move on: always appreciate the humorous side of things but in essence, have we fuelled these "highly trained, highly paid, intelligent people" who look after our vulnerable youngsters, into believing that an accent is going to do more damage to them than not having a family!
:scared:

i believe highly educated doesnt always mean highly intellegant. but only highly educated .and knowledgable in the subject they learn. intellegance is something else.
think mistakes have been made in the past ,still being made in the present .and will be made in the future.
the media have never really told us the truth but as they see it. we used to think british news was honest but as time goes by we realise most for years and years as been not quite right.
shame we cant treat other humans as equals . we arent any more forward than years ago .

i take people as i find them, whatever race, colour, region, just cant stand southerners,my cousin came from cananda to live in wrenbury, in conversation, i said i would like to come and visit him, i was told not too as i dont earn £50k + and wouldnt be accepted:cry: how bad is that,

I remember when my son came, in from school and said there were now 2 Nigerian kids in his class. My wife said to me "Where's Nigeria".

"No idea", I said.

My son said, "It cannot be far, they go home for their dinner".

What on earth has Wrenbury got to with Southerners ? Its so far north of our sunny Southern climes that I imagine the locals have slight geordie accent.

Dezi:hammer:

ps Please note that South - Southern - Southerner - Southern softee all have a capital S

Wrenbury is in Cheshire - which comes under North West in most clubs, organizations etc.

So it's not South!

I live south of Wrenbury and I'm definitely not a Southerner.
