For anyone interested in this route, BBC Alba have a new travelogue series, episode 1 heading west out of Inverness is available now on iPlayer. Some interesting "close encounters" with motorhomes if you persevere with the subtitles! Didn't spot any stickers :lol-049:

Scary and dangerous are not words I'd associate with the NC500

Exhilarating, wonderful, unique are.

Finally available to watch on Thursday evening.
Sorry to disagree with you Rob but I think "Touringtheworld" is right. I became rather bored by looking at talking heads rather than the scenery.

Anne Lundon made the point perfectly at 23:35 where she says "Every time we turn a corner there's more to see" but we are not shown the view only yet more of the side of her head, a bit of VW interior but almost nothing through the windscreen.
Pretty as she is, simply too much of her and her highland expert David Byrne chatting and/or driving from 7:31 to 14:52, nearly a quarter of the running time.

I don't blame Miss Lundon. The producer or director have put the emphasis in the wrong area.

But on the positive side nice to know surf buses are reaching Scotland at last.
