Hi all,

Has anybody stopped in any of the pub stopovers in the area? I'm thinking the Old Hall Hotel, Caister or the Lighthouse Inn, Walcott. Any recommendations or suggestions?

Cheers,

Pat

Old Hall was very good when I last stopped there, a couple of years ago.
They used to be free for the first night and £5 pn for subsequent nights, but too many people were taking the p*ss.
It's now £15 per night, but you get a £10 voucher to use in the pub or restaurant. There are some EHUs available which are free.

Think thats a great idea . Win win

Lighthouse used to be a jolly good nosh up but camping area not very large. Tenner at the most with ehu. Winter time you used to be able to park along the sea front for the night, summer time there was a patch of land opposite sea front where you could stay the night for a fiver but old chappie died and it was sold. I heard a rumour that this was to reopen but I've not been there for a while.

I've stayed at the Old Hall a couple of times. Good pub, friendly people and free EHU!

I would recommend it.

I should add that you get use of the swimming pool as well. Or at least you did when I was last there.

Hi we stopped at the lighthouse inn after the Brandon meet in July. Small parking area behind the pub will take three m/homes. I believe the landlord is called Steve great pub good meals. No charge if not on ehu had meals and drinks both nights we stayed. Cassette dump in car park fresh water and toilet in m/home area:drive:
