Hi All,

Whilst away in the van i have lost the water the pump does not work but does if i put power to it from another source! i have checked all the fuses they are ok. Also if i put a power source to the blue wire under the sink unit everything is restored and functions correctly!!

Question where does the feed come from for the taps, toilet and shower ? is there an in line fuse i should check i have checked the toilet fuse thats ok? any help would be great, if not my only option is to put in another power supply with an inline fuse and hope for the best, cheers in advance

Jonny

You need to locate the fuses. Mine (Merc) are in a panel to the left of the drivers seat beside the power switch. Vehicle fuses are under the dash in the passenger footwell.

I do not know where they are on Fiat's etc.

If everything works when you aply power under the sink it has to be a fuse!

Ours is Fiat-based and the fuses are in a panel behind the driver's seat (LHD). The vehicle fuses are under the dash, as are yours. That is the full extent of my knowledge of vehicle electrics!

Hi Guys,

Yeah i checked all the fuses mine are to left of the steering wheel and inside the glove box they are all ok, i think i will just run new power into it and put another in line fuse in

:mad2:

Our Ducatto has additional fuse box by battery under bonnet. It's where the fuse for the habitation charge system is, so probably a similar place on yours as the relay to switch will be located close to battery

i have located 2 fuse boxes one by the drivers seat the fuses there seem to be for the habitation area and one in the glove box these are for the vehicle lights etc, would there be a 3rd fuse box??

Your pump fuse is located in the elektroblock. This peice of kit controls all the consumers in the habitation part of your Hymer as well as charging your batteries when on EHU. It measures about 6"x12"x12" and is often located under a seat either in the cab or under a bench. If your motorhome has one of the digital control panels (although it says Hymer on it ,it is made by Schaudt the same people that make the Elektroblock) it is possible to turn off the pump perhaps without realising you have done so. To check look to see if a tap symbol is showing. If not press the water icon and then press ok it should then show the icon and the pump will be on. If when you find the Elektroblock you make a note of the type/model number you can then get a manual for it from Schaudt the german firm who manufacture it. Just email them and they send it in PDF format don't forget to ask for the english version.

Hi Wanderer,

I have sripped the whole van out now cant find this electro block i have located 2 fuse boxes one by the Drivers side LHD and one in the glove box. The drivers fuse box is for the habitation all fuses are ok, the glove box is the Vehicle. Under the seats is have a Leisure battery and the passemger one is just for storage there are no compartments or doors etc??
All the fuses i checked were fine but i replaced them all with the old torpedo fuses for the habitation and blades for the vehicle still no joy. I have now taken power from another live supply spliced it into the feed for the sink and placed an in line fuse into it, all systems now work again...but im still baffled..the only thing i can think of is that at some point someone has fitted another in line fuse and tucked it away.

My Kontiki has a fuse hidden away behind the controller panel, you get to it through a false panel in the end of the kitchen wall cupboard. No mention of it in the handbook!!.

not familiar with hymers but when you apply voltage from another source are you wiring through the preasure switch or without it ? usually the preasure switch is part of the pump although it can be seperate the diaphram in these can perish or split

Ok this is getting interesting. I have a number of suggestions/questions, but not trying to teach you how to suck eggs.
1 What year is your hymer
2 Do you have any manuals with it
3 Have you tried ringing Brownhills, talking to their service guys and asking if/where the elecktroblock is
4 Can you post photos of the fuses you have found so far and of any control panel that you may have, that controls the habitation side of your van.
