No levelling ramp no problem

Sadly years ago I attended a fire were a student died resulting from an extension cable being left in its drum. He was asleep at the time and the drum was close to his bed.
I have a little "work" extension and the wound and unwound max power ratings are clearly marked, which is good to have, and they are significantly different (and of course, nothing to stop a wound coil being used at the higher rating :( ) .

I don't have my EHU lead on a reel at all, just loop it to put in a bag and then out the bag to use and it naturally all flops about loosely (story of my life ;) )

I see little wrong with that, the cable is unwound and it would prevent theft of the cable and reel , I have 3 of those reels and never get a tangled hook up cable when using them, I have by the way heard of hook cables being stolen ? Name calling welcomed ?

Trev, how did you fill in the holes cut out of the sides when your van was used in dads army :)
You are right, lots of holes by the last owner, had to make infit plates and larger ones behind bonded in, big problem is the filler round the outside edges keeps cracking, so may some time soon rivet some alloy framing to hide cracks.
