Newbie on Lewis and Harris

I’m Mark from the Netherlands.
We are going for the first time to Lewis and Harris with our Motorhome.

We are just back from Harris and Lewis. You’ll find small sites not so much wild camping. Everything closes on Sunday. Look out for community shops and cafes. Only fuel station we found open was in Stornaway.

Recommendations. Uig Sands: stunning restaurant that allows you to stay in the car park after your meal. Two lovely small beach campsites nearby. Huisinis gateway: small aire in stunning spot. The west Harris trust parking spots towards Losgaintir. In Lewis recommend Uncle’s Croft campsite up near the butt of Lewis and Europie beach.
