Newbie in Wiltshire

You've finally tempted me to become a full member, probably because of the possibility of a free SatNav, but hey ho!

I must admit I haven't joined before now because I don't know if I'd feel safe wild camping. But I'll continue to watch your forum, sorry, our forum, and maybe one day I'll join you on a meet!

I usually camp alone, with the dog, and either attend other small meets or go off on my own, but to a campsite where there are other people. I like certificated sites (C&CC) though and avoid the large commercial sites. I do, however, go off as much as possible from now until September/October time, mostly weekends but some weeklongs too.

Hi from Devizes, there are some good local wilding spots (Roundway Hill for one). If you go to somewhere like that you'll probably not be alone and just having another van nearby calms the nerves. I'm new to Wiltshire, thanks for keeping it soooo beautiful for me.
