I know the Zebras could have that effect.I looked at your front page and thought safari tours. Sorry but that's what I got from the zebras. It just does not look like anything to do with vehicles and electrics which frankly ain't the best of starts.
I have been self employed with a website so I have been round the houses on this one. First impressions really really count.

The site looks really good. Very user friendly and efficient.
The only criticism I would make is regarding the reviews section they do scroll round rather quickly before you can finish reading a particular review. I have seen this on other websites and it can be annoying particularly if somebody has written a long review on something I am interested in.
Personally I prefer to click on a reviews section and read through them at my leisure - maybe I have missed something and you can do that?
Having said that, I do think scrolling reviews do look good on a home page and make it look a more professional site.
I've added a "Move mouse over Testimonial to pause slideshow" line under the testimonial controlsI agree with Robmac, by default I couldn't read the reviews before they were gone. I happen to know that hovering the mouse over the panel halts the slideshow but I suspect many will not.
Also the text colour on the Shop sub menu in the footer is unreadable because it is white on very light grey.
Other than that I think it looks great and look forward to reading your blog as it populates.
Yes the Zebra's gave the first impression of safari tours, maybe not what your potential customers might expect.
Important note about reviews, they are dated, so it looks a bit dodgy when a load go in on same date, my first thoughts are if people say something like 'last year', or 'good to see your new site, you helped us out some time back'
I will have a look at thatIt look very good to me, been right through all the pages on phone and tablet with no issues. The only very minor comment is that the text appears tight to the left margin on the "services" page using the iPad, but not on the phone, but it doesn't impact on readability. Of course that might be a quirk on our iPad settings using Safari. Keep up the good work. Dave
running on Debian and with lots of securityJust a thought, are you using a home server which is secure, also all pages to download should be in ODF rather than PDF.View attachment 93086
Yes but odf works across all platforms, well done you for trying, its hard work.running on Debian and with lots of security![]()
Thing with ODF is that PDF is the industry standard for documents and what everyone uses and what they expect. For example all my links to PDF files are actually not MY files, they are links to data from manufacturers such as Ablemail and Victron.
Thanks for the message though. Interesting.
