Hi, live up near Edinburgh. We had owned a Citroen relay campervan for the past 3 years which we used to tow a box van all over the UK for my son's sport. Decided to get a small motorhome with a fixed bed layout similar to the caravan we used to own which was an ideal layout for us. Found a real low mileage (aren't most motorhomes?) 2009 Chausson Flash 08. Absolutely delighted with it, drives great, really comfy and easy to live with. Got the MOTs with it and one shows it did 1700 miles in a year. We've done more miles in two weeks (just under 2000). Had to get the chassis extended and tow bar fitted - found a company in Yorkshire who specialise in this. Done a good job. The only issue we have had was carrying a full tank of fresh water to outside London. Tried to bleed the hot water but it just kept gargling! Books out and discovered there was a frost protection valve (was frosty the day before we left) - looked under the motor and saw our precious water pouring out. Button reset and cured. At least it works I suppose. Live and learn. Good forum this with lots of knowledgeable people. Bob.
