A recent response (2021) from them to a customer who enquired about a bed for a Rapido:-

"I have listed below the prices for the different qualities we make.
The economy hand would be £140. This mattress is 7" in depth. The next best quality would be the Murphy mattress, which is a good quality mattress, medium to firm, 8" in depth £175. Both the economy and Murphy mattress are covered with a beige pattern fabric. The Swift is a lovely quality mattress with a medium feel, this is 8.5" in depth, £210. This is covered with a very pale blue silky damask material. A semi-orthopaedic 9" in depth £225, (medium firm, covered in a white damask) and an orthopaedic (firm, covered in an ivory damask) would be £240 both these are of excellent quality.
All the mattresses are made from springs.
If you would require a courier, the price would depend on your location.
Many thanks Janet

Hi Jenny, not sure where you are, but I found our local upholstery place were well equiped to help, and made up our new bed to our spec. We had a 3 layerd foam matress with hard foam under mid-firm foam and then topped off with a thin layer of memory foam. All cut to size with odd shapes dealt with, then covers made up in a material of our choice. Really comfortable and very supportive of my age worn back. Start local and work outwards until you find someone. I was really pleased to buy local.

Will give these guys a ring tomorrow, looks like what I might be needing

One thing to be aware of if talking to Jonic is that while they have dimensions for a large number of makes/models, Hobby have used both Transit and Ducato base vehicles and this can affect the size of the mattress. You need to establish whether their dimensions are based on your model AND base vehicle.

Just give them the measurements of the existing mattress as a template? 😎

It’s only a replacement mattress, not a new vehicle chassis/body 😉 🙂

Easy enough for a rectangular mattress, but once you start getting curves, cutaways, etc. it becomes a bit problematic!

Take your point, but it shouldn't be a problem if 'custom made'.
The company claims to be experienced in making cutaways to measure?

Guess Jenny will find out soon enough (y):)

Yes, fine if custom made to the right dimensions (based on the right base vehicle). With awkward shapes, better to let Jonic do the measuring (which I did one year at the NEC after they had been trying to make adjustments from Ducato (for which they already had dimensions) to Ford (for which they didn't)).

Good advise - thankyou
