HURRAY! The new Defra rules have come into effect. We now only need to have our dog treated for tapeworm, 1 - 5 days before travelling back to the UK, which is a much improved system, we also now have a choice of countries to have this done. I would be interested to hear from anyone who has experienced this new regime already and how much the "cash-strapped" vets are now charging for the reduced requirement. We are planning another extended trip to Europe soon and hopefully will not be ripped off yet again on our return. Your thoughts will be much appreciated.

When we got back to Dover last September they pulled us over and checked our dogs details.
