Hi all. Now I have internet in the van I'm using a laptop and a tablet Ive installed Sky Go which works fine. But the missus is addicted to Netflix and asked if Netflix can be used on a tablet via a sky subscription. I'm the most technically ignorant person in the UK so I have no idea. So , does anyone out there use Netflix on the go.

Presumably you have a Netflix subscription at home? If so I believe you can use it elsewhere - maybe via a Firestick?

I haven't tried this yet so will watch with interest.

I use my phone as a hotspot and have a now tv(sky tv) stick in the tv use it for all the freeview streaming, prime, netflix, sky. Think now tv sticks are discontinued now but its only a rebadged roku stick.

Now TV sticks were discontinued a few years ago. Unfortunately, I had the white ones, which just stopped working; the black ones will still work as a smart TV stick, even without support.

I have a Laptop, a Chromebook and a 10" Tablet, and I download from Netflix to the Chromebook, Prime to the Laptop, and iPlayer to the tablet, so not need to do more, all bought off ebay so not a lot of money spent, I don't often run gout of things to watch, if I do just find some free wifi or maybe a bit of data.

One of our Grandsons set up Netflix on our TV, using his account. I went through all the programmes on it and to be honest I was disappointed. You can get a lot of those programmes free on catch up on the terrestrial channels. I have been told however, that if you have a VPN you can receive the American Netflix channels with a lot more content.

I don't mind recording commercial channels, just zap through the ads.
We record a lot of our favourite programmes so that we can watch them at a time that suits us, as you say, just zap through the ads, Humax makes it easy, right button press goes forward 2 minutes, press it twice and the ads are finished, left button goes back 30 seconds.
Another advantage is that we have lots of recorded programmes which is ideal if you cannot get a signal

David recommended the BT YouView PVR to me ages ago when we ditched Virgin.

Still going strong, but it won't do Netflix anymore, So I have a Roku stick,

The BBC are pestering for the TV licence fee to cover the streaming services as well. The powers that be are sympathetic to this arrangement.
