Need somewhere to wild camp near to Beaulieu New Forest

My friend is getting married at the tree tops on the Beaulieu estate, need somewhere to park up and stay the night, which is not too far to get a taxi. Any ideas??????

There isn't any wild camping allowed in the actual New Forest nor on the Beaulieu estate. However, try the Turf Cutters Arms at East Boldre. They allow a couple of MH's in their car park and the grub is fantastic. They are in Brit Stops but may take you anyway if you call them. A short taxi ride to Beaulieu from there.

We stayed there last year. Another customer had her drink served in a dirty glass. When she complained it had "someone else's lipstick on it", the barmaid didn't apologise, just gave her a clean glass. The food we had was edible, certainly not good. We were told to park up next to the rubbish bins, which didn't smell too fresh. Won't be making a return visit.

That doesn't sound good. I used to live in the New Forest (for 35 years!) but it's been a while so I guess things have changed, it used to be one of the best foody pubs in the forest!

Try the Filly Inn at Brockenhurst we stopped last week. Had a great Night. They have a large car park as well but watch the bottom part its a bit boggy and slippery. Its 8 miles from the estate so should not cost to much. Give them a ring they can only say no.

stayed at the Filly Inn last night and def recommend it. Fairly level car park, fantastic food and didn't charge us for our small camper van (although we did have a few drinks and stayed for a meal). We also paid £10 each for a breakfast which included cereals, jams, full english etc. well worth it considering the accommodation cost nothing. staff really friendly and owner is a camper van owner himself
