Need help on wild camping/campsites in Southern Ireland

Hi, we are Barry & Di from Hastings, East Sussex, Barry built our motorhome from an ex ambulance and we are looking to do some wild camping in Southern Ireland this year, we would be very grateful for any help and advice anyone can offer us as it will be our 1st time in Ireland. Also the price of the cost of living there would be a bonus too. Thanks all.

Hi Barry and June. We toured Southern Ireland last summer. We wild camped most of the 2 weeks. We stayed one night in the car park of Blarney castle. We did visit it the next day but nothing was said to us.
If you're going to do the ring of Kerry there's a lovely spot on the way to a place called Cromane Lower. It's a car park/picnic area by the beach There's toilets and a tap there too but the water looked a bit brown so we put tablets in it. We all survived ok.
We also found a nice spot on the east coast called Kilmichael point. Its on a cliff but you're able to scramble down to the beach. Few seals around sometimes. No facilities though. I hope this helps. I'm sorry I don't know how to get the map co-ordinations but have managed to find it on Google earth. This was our third time in Ireland but we found it expensive this time. All down to the Euro exchange rate. Good luck .
