Hi everybody - not been on for a few weeks!

Feeling pretty low - my job (as a supply chain planner) is really getting to me - I HATE IT!!!

Trying to start mt own cleaning company (going very well) but its a hard transition from good salery to working for yourself!

Not even got a MH to go off and forget about it!

Hope everybody is ok? and loving life more than I am at the moment!

Work hard - get a motorhome - that's what I strive to do!

The very morbid Rach82!

I'll swap my unemployment benefit for your job if you like!

Does your company use CNC machinists?

Keep plugging away, we all have to do things we don't like to afford the pleasures we enjoy. When you've got your motorhome you will think it was all worth it in the end. :D

Grit your teeth and keep smiling Rach.. the day'll come when you can stick a finger up to the job you hate. But for now it's a means to an end. You'll get there!! :):D

Hi Rach82
We're Wendy53 and Keith58! Know how you feel luv. We both hate our jobs! I've worked in secondary school for 20 years, 11 -16 year olds - yuk. Keith has mended motor cars for 40 years and his own car is always the last to be fixed!!
A motorhome is definitely the way to go. Weekends make for our sanity and we switch off all the negative things in life as soon as we get into our little peace of heaven. We have also spent many nights tucked up in the garden, just to get away from the washer, tumble dryer, ironing board and phone!!
Good luck with your new business venture and keep positive - you'll do it!!
Regards

Hi Rach,

I've got a lovely van but my Jess has gone and the van ain't much fun at the moment.

Count your blessings.

Hi was in sameway few years ago, have a look around the world, then see how good life is here, things will get better, look in the mirror and smile, some body always smiles back BAZ. :D :D :D

Keep yer chin up Rach;),just work hard in your new venture while you,re still young and I,m sure you,ll reach your goal:)

Good Luck

hi rach-ive got a motorhome which ive done 16000mile in nearly 2yrs!!! but a week ago my wife left me!!!!! will travel alone and take my two young boys out in it every other w/end!!! good luck

chin up. Look at what you've got. Job (ok you hate it) but it is still a job, your got a plan to move on, a target (motorhome) and above all else you've got your health. One of our members posted on another site this last week that his partner/wife passed away. I found out today that a 31 year old lass at work who recently got married will be leaving on Friday for at least 6 months, something serious health wise, but not general knowledge yet. Makes you realise what you have.

Hang in there, Rach, you'll get your own van someday. I'd go for for making your own. You never know what skills you have until you try

If any chains need supplying for the van, you'll be expert at planning them, and you can keep it spotlessly clean during the build :D Plus all those other things which will come together. And, you can always take it steady at a rate to suit your finances.

I know just what you mean, rach, I hate my job too! But it's a means to an end...and i'm going fulltiming wilding from next summer, I hope...so i keep telling myself to just plug on with it. I'm so lucky to have 2 lovely daughters (grown up and like best friends to me), 2 brilliant dogs and still most of my own teeth! My partner has had to move hundreds of miles away but life goes on.

So many of us have lost loved ones or have things we struggle with...I feel for all of you out there who've been going through it. But like many I really value the humour, helpfulness, quirkiness and inspiration I find all the time on this forum - thanks, you lovely people! :)

looking ahead

:)Hi Rach, keep going most of us have been there. You will come out the other side of it one day and it won't have been worth worrying about. Life has its ups and downs. I have had jobs in the past I wish I could forget but I'm the other side of it now. all the best chris

Hi Rach82
I worked for 35 years in a job that was supposed to be 'professional'. Now I'm not working I wonder what it was all for. Dont forget....work to live, don't live to work

Life is dammed hard work!

I work as a self employed roofer - Just on my own and ejoy it. I come home nackered everyday, never going to be rich, just keep paying bills etc,, its hard!

Wait til you have your own business full-time! it will also be hard - but worth it! Theres a lot of satisfaction from working hard at it.

Maybe its why the nation is drinking itself stupid!

Been in your local wetherspoons lately?

Craig:)

as has been said look at the world you and us are the lucky ones.
Just thank your lucky stars your not an islam woman in Afghanistan wearing a tent and being sold to an old bloke for marrying by yer family.

Thanks

Thanks everyone - you really did cheer me up.

Maybe I over reacted a bit the other night - yes I hate my job and it is emotionally draining but I am really very lucky

I live in a beautiful place with an amazing partner, a brilliant dog and a great future to look foreward too.

I do realise I am very lucky - the pressure of work made things seem much worse than they actually were.

Thanks again

The much happier Rach82:D:D:D:D:D
