Many years ago we did that road through Scotland in our car it was not called the NC300 in those days great trip we did it in our then Vauxhall Victor estate car took sleeping bags etc but we planned on Bn Bs but would sleep in the car at a pinch we had no trouble getting B Nn Bs however so did not sleep in the car , on our travels we saw lots of camper vans wild camping all over and I said to my wife that is what I want to do she agreed and on our return home we searched for a van and bought a VW elevating roof van , I fitted it out with a sink etc and a Porta Potti , we joined the CCC and our adventures started moving up the scale of vans and Caravans too , love the life and still do we have recently downsized to an Adria twin Fiat Ducato 2,8 jtd engine strangely all our vans have had the same engine and never given any trouble except a new clutch in Portugal one trip Hymer B694 tag axle but that panned out ok, we have not used our new to us van much yet as things are a bit complicated just now but we were at Burton Bradstock and the Strawberry Fields last autumn , we use the van as a day van in the New Forest and coast locally but plan on going to Spain and Portugal in March this year all being well , can't wait to get going again , and meeting up with old and new friends again , we booked up for a new years meet with a DA of the CCC but then both of us got the flu so had to cancel that so hope all goes well from here on , Happy New Year to all stay Safe
