Naming your Van

'Poppy' as I collected her on the 11th of November, but she was very green then.

before i collected my van my missus recalled her happy childhood playing in a makeshift shed in their garden , she called the shed 'cosy bug' and when we collected the van , got it home and checked it out i called the van 'cosy bug' ....because it was a shed as well !

My Talbot Express is called Bertha (Hence the username), I had to strip the old Merlin decals and stripes off cos 23 years of sun had ruined them, so it now says 'Bertha ' down each side and above the cab.

Ajs

Hi there mine is called Big Bertha as she is a 6 bertha, AJS has called his DUNROAMIN as its going to be parked up for three years, That is if the law knows how to deal with persistant speeders.:D:D

The people who had the van before us named it Big Bertha (Also a 6 berth) We just dropped the 'Big' .

Ours is called "Carpe" as it bears proudly on its bonnet "carpe diem" sieze the day!

Its a personal thing, and I suppose if its right the name just comes to you and the MH.

We call ours Joan after the mother in law, this was due to me putting a sticky emblem of a witch riding a broomstick on the rear of MH, I had always called the MIL a witch and made comments when we saw this type of cartoon sticker, all in fun you understand.

Ours is "THE WOBBLYBOX"
because when I told my 26 year old nephew we where buying a camper, he thought we meant a caravan :mad:
I said "NO, a camperVAN"
To which he retorted >>
"OK a MOTORISED Wobblybox"
Stuck for both of our vans, as when we sold the VW the new owners had already told everyone they were getting a wobblybox :)
Hymer is officially mk3
